Suspect these may be a little big and pricey for you but would do the bus! Not sure how easy they would be to drive though . . . . . .

Impedance and sensitivity is good to go. Should be easy enough for the Proprius. I've known worse.

That none should be able to buy or sell without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

I've always had a soft spot for TDL (IMF) transmission lines. I'll bet those Reference speakers sound great (and the guy says he has 4 pairs . . !).
Once you get over the fact that the Proprius amps' performance totally belie their physical size you realise that there are very few speakers they won't drive really well.

Me too Bob my brother owned a pair of imf tls802 improved, and after a pair of tdl studio 1 and 2s now had tdl studio 4 with the same driver as the reference model.
A little more 'understanding', money and room and would be in for these like a shot. The seller is a trader I. Hi hi and where my brother obtained his studio 4s from. Think he sources from Germany mainly |

I've plugged a range of different speakers into my Proprius as I use the Majestic and Proprius amps to power speakers I ma testing/modifying. When I dug my old AE505's out in 2014 I thought '"Wow! Why did I stop using these?" and I was surprised by the stereo sound of my Bronze FX bi/dipoles on stands (they're working as surround speakers now). Similarly for the Mezzo 1's I had before as surround speakers and my newish GX300's which sound great. I have even had 12 inch guitar speaker connected and been surprised at the quality of sound, allowing for the built-in character of those speakers.
My experience of different speakers with the Proprius amps is only part of the variety of loudspeaker types shared here by fellow owners. I think it's all about the musical quality of the Proprius amps which really are high fidelity in and their versatility comes down to the engineering that ensures they bring the best out of every speaker I have tried. |
